Weekend is the time for my husband to take up the kitchen. He prepared this wonderful dish yesterday and I named him Kitchen King.
400 gms boneless chicken cut in medium pieces
2 onions cubed
1 potato cubed
1 carrot cubed
1/2 bell pepper
1/2 tablespoon minced ginger & garlic
1 teaspoon peppercorn
4 pods green cardamom
1 inch cinnamon stick
2 tablespoon butter
1/2 tablespoon barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced ginger-garlic
1/3rd teaspoon white pepper
1/3rd teaspoon garam masala powder(ground cardamom+cinnamon+cloves)
Boil the chicken with the whole spices,1/2 teaspoon peppercorn and salt.After it gets boiled,take away from the water and store the stock for further use.Marinate with the above ingredients mentioned for marination.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a frying pan.Saute the potao,carrot,and onion with salt till they become light brown.Take away from the pan and boil them.Add the remaining butter in the pan.Saute the marinated chicken along with ginger-garlic till they turn golden brown.Add the chicken stock,bell pepper and boiled vegetables and mix them.Take away from heat and serve hot.
