I have got a bottle of Tartare Sauce from the grocery Although I know it is served with fried food, I tried to do something different.
Ingredients:
450 gms Salmon cut in 4 medium sized pieces
2 onions sliced
1 tomato cubed
1 tablespoon minced giner-garlic
2 tablespoon Hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon peppercorns
2 tablespoons butter
Salt
For Marination:
1 tablespoon Barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon Tartare Sauce
1 teaspoon minced ginger-garlic
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon lime juice
salt
Rub the ingredients on the fish and keep it for about an hour.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a non-stick pan and saute the fish pieces till they turn brownish on both sides.Take away from heat and keep them aside. Add the remaining butter in the pan and add the peppercorns.Let them splutter and then add the onions.Saute till they turn translucent and add the tomato & ginger-garlic.Saute till they are browned.Add the Hoisin sauce & salt.Mix thoroughly to form a thick gravy.Take away from heat and pour over the fish.
You're obviously a great and imaginative cook! In that sense, you remind me of my mother, who is a magician in the kitchen. Her speciality is Arabic food, for her family was from Syria. Hopefully, I'll learn myself to cook like her one day!
ReplyDeleteThough I'm very picky when it comes to seafood, I like Pacific pink salmon, so I'm copying your recipe now, because it seems to be delicious, with that sauce.
