Cauliflower with Sweet Potato

1 Cauliflower cut into medium-sized florets
1 Sweet Potato cubed
1 potao cubed
1 tomato cubed
1 chilli pepper
3 cardamom pods
3 cloves
1 inch cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon oil

Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil in a pan and saute the cauliflower florets till they are lightly browned on the sides.Keep them aside.Add the remaining oil and add the whole spices.Let them splutter and add the potato and chilli pepper.Saute till they turn light brown.Add the sweet potato and saute for sometime. Add the powdered spices with 1/4th cup water and salt.Mix everything well till the vegetables are coated with the spices.Cover and keep for 2 minutes.Keep checking in between so that the vegetables do not get stuck to the pan.If required add some water.When everything is cooked,remove the cover and see that the water is evaporated.Serve hot with rice.
