Turkey Makhani

Makhani is a Punjabi dish made of butter.Chicken makhani is a very popular dish in India.I thought of making the dish with Turkey.

500 gms Turkey cut in medium sized pieces
2 tomatoes cubed
2 pods of cardamom
2 cloves
1 inch stick of cinnamon
1 teaspoon black peppercorns
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried Fenugreek leaves
1 teaspoon sugar/honey
2 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup fresh cream

For the Turkey:
1/2 cup yogurt
1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon Mustard oil
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala Powder
Marinade the turkey with these ingredients and keep for 2 hours. Then heat butter in a pan and saute the pieces nicely till they become cooked.Set aside.

Heat butter in a pan and add the whole spices.Wait till they splutter and add the tomatoes,ginger-garlic paste and salt.Saute for 2 minutes. Then add the Garam masala powder and 1 cup water.Bring it to boil and add the sugar/honey and fresh cream.Keep for sometimes on low flame.Add the Dried fenugreek leaves and chicken pieces.Stir a little. Then put aside.Serve hot.
