Chatpata Murgh

Ingredients:
500 gms chicken on bones cut in medium size pieces
2 onions sliced
2 tomatoes chopped
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1/2 cup beaten yogurt
2 teaspoons garam masala powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon Nigella seeds
1/2 teaspoon Wild celery seeds(radhuni)
3 tablespoon Mustard oil
Salt
 
Marinate the chicken with the yogurt and 2 teaspoon Garam masala powder for an hour.Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and saute the chicken till the oil seperates and the pieces are browned.Put them aside.Add rest of the oil and the nigella and wild celery seeds.When they start to splutter add the onions and garlic paste.Saute till the onions are moistened.Add the tomatoes and saute.When the onions are almost done add the turmeric powder,chili powder and salt.Add the chicken pieces and 1 cup water.Cover and cook till the chicken pieces are tender.Once they are cooked properly add the rest of the Garam masala powder.At this point some light cream can be added before taking away from heat.
