Lakme CC Cream Review, Swatches & Application

I have started using Lakme CC Cream from the last 2 weeks now. I generally use a product for certain days and then review it, instead of reviewing it immediately. This is because I want to make sure if it suits my skin or not.

About the Cream:
The Lakme CC Cream or Complexion Care Cream is described as a All in 1 Instant Skin Stylist.

It comes in a cute and bright magenta packaging that reminds me of exotic Benarasi sarees. The tube is 30 ml and priced at Rs.250. The colour of the tube is light beige with a silver cap. It is available in 2 shades: Beige for fair to wheatish/ medium complexion and Bronze for dusky to dark complexions.

What Lakme says:
The product is supposed to instantly protect, moisturize, brighten, even tone, conceal & freshen the skin and can be used daily for a complete makeover anytime.

My Take:

I have chosen the Beige shade for my complexion, which I felt is quite light, but even the bronze one was quite dark for me. I guess the blending of both the shades could have yielded my perfect match. This was my initial reaction once I applied the product on my face. However, when I thoroughly blended it with light strokes of my finger it gave a nice glow to my face. The moisturizing could have been better but I think it will be perfect for summers. The SPF 20 protects the skin from sun damage. It balances the skin tone very well and gives a radiant finish leaving the skin fresh and youthful. Obviously it could not cover stubborn blemish marks but for small imperfections it does justice by covering up. I am not too happy with the scent of the product. It some how reminds me of a popular antiseptic cream. I had worn it for long hours but it stayed just perfect and I did not require any touch ups. I loved the way how velvety my skin felt. This is just the right product to replace foundation for me. Lakme CC Cream leaves up to the expectation and a must try product for every one.

Pros:
Sun protection
Imparts glow
Evens the complexion
Nice coverage
Good staying power
Hides pores
Nice packaging
Suitable for all skin types

Cons:
Strong scent
Only 2 shades

It gets a 4.75/5 rating from me.
