Lacto Calamine Reneu Cream Review

Hey beauties, do you use any anti-aging cream? Well I recently bought an anti-aging cream in an impulse. However, I was getting a flat 50% discount one the product and so bought the Lacto Calamine Reneu Cream.

Price: Rs 799/- (I got it at 400)

The Packaging: The packaging is absolutely luxurious with a golden cap that is almost oval in shape. The body is cream white and it looks like a product from any high end brand.
The Product: It is a cute light pink coloured cream that is quite soft and silky in texture.

Company Claims: It promises to provide super hydration restoring firmness, boosting collagen, reducing wrinkles and rejuvenating skin. It also claims to lighten the skin and is pH 6.5.

My Experience: I will start with the not so pleasing points. The first thing to notice, once you open the cap is the ridiculous smell of the product. I am sure anybody with the slightest of olfactory sense will dislike the smell. Either you make your product totally fragrance-free or if you are so determined to add a scent, let it not torment the senses.

The product colour is light baby pink, almost like the Johnson & Johnson baby lotion. The texture is something I started to admire immediately. It is soft, silky and almost like a mousse. It does not feel greasy at all and immediately gets absorbed into the skin. The mousse form almost turns to a watery liquid once it comes in contact with the skin. It is not that hydrating and people with dry skin can stay away from it. I am sure it is not going to make a good moisturizer for my Combination skin during winter. Summers may be ideal for the product. Another negative for me is that it does not have any SPF or anything mentioned about sun-protection. So, ideally it should be used during night time. However, we want our night creams to be a bit emollient and nourishing.

I have been using the product for the past 10 days every night along with the Elizabeth Arden Visible DifferenceSkin care System in the day. When I get up in the morning my skin does not feel greasy or oily even around the T-zone.

My complexion, which had become quite dull post Navaratri, has again started getting back the glow. Most important is I can notice that the dark spots on my skin have reduced drastically. The enlarged pores have also minimised. May be the combined effect of the Elizabeth Arden system and this cream has helped to create such a quick improvement to my skin.

1.       Silky texture
2.       Lovely packaging
3.       Lightens spots
4.       Tightens pores

1.       High price

Rating: 3.5/5
