Vivel Perfect Glow Multi Layer Skin Tone Perfector Review

Seeing the ads and promos of the new Vivel launches everywhere, I suddenly remembered I had bought a lotion from Vivel months back. I used it for a week or so and then it got lost somewhere inside hundreds of other things. I totally forgot about it.I took out that 3 days back and started using it, just to write a review on it and share it with my lovely readers.

Price: Rs.350

Packaging: It is a 50 gms white bottle with a transparent cap. It has a top squeeze system which is cool, and reminded me of the Garnier Age Lift Triple Action Anti-Wrinkle Cream

The Product: Vivel Perfect Glow Multi Layer Skin Tone Perfector is a whitish cream with a very strong smell of cheap perfume.

My Experience: The first unpleasant thing of the cream is the smell. It is so strong that it will be there for the entire day. I wish it smelt nicer and not like the old talcum powders. The second dislike was the texture of the lotion, which appears to be quite thick but when spread on skin it just appears to be a watery substance with whitish cast. The skin becomes grayish white when the product is spread. So annoying!! It is like any average fairness cream, perhaps worse than that. I did not see any change in my complexion. It is not even moisturizing. I am not sure why it is named Skin Tone Perfector. It does not help fade any dark spots. It does not provide any glow. All I can say is it just gives a whitish veil to the skin, without any radiance. The only good thing I can say about the product is that I have tried using it as a foundation base and it did a decent job in that, provided you use a moisturizer before applying this product. Perhaps I will do a LOTD with this product in future. I have to use it anyways.

1. SPF 15
2. Antioxidant properties
3. Can act as a good foundation base
4. Good packaging

1. Not hydrating
2. Does not impart glow
3. Price is high (keeping in mind the quality)
4. Does not improve complexion
5. Does not help to fade dark spots
6. Gives a white cast on the skin
7. Strong smell

Rating: 2/5

I will not recommend this product to anyone. However, if you want a less expensive primer with somewhat average performance, you can choose it.:-O. But if you are trusting upon the claims of the product and expect a miraculous change in your overall complexion, you will be definitely  left disappointed.
