Fashion at 59th Filmfare Awards 2014

This is the first time I am doing a post on a Fashion Award in Bollywood. As usual there was a mix of gorgeous, shabby and very tacky looks. Some of them came out as copycats of their Hollywood or even Bollywood counterparts. No matter what, it was a glam event.

Priyanka Chopra in Alexander McQueen

This lady has style. Her absolutely fit body is hugged by the lavish black and the spiked gold detailing on both sides flatters her tiny waist. Lovely!!

Deepika Padukone in Gaurav Gupta

Now, now havn't we seen this one some days back in a Hollywood event, the only difference is here Ms. Padukone has chosen to be the Goldigown and there it was an all black ensemble. And also we guess the other dress that we are talking about was showing more skin than covering up

Kajol in Nandita Mahtani

Yes, no, maybe...while we have no complaints about the outfit, the whole look is too 1950s(Read black & white). A little touch of pop in accessory or face makeup could have done no harm.

Preity Zinta in Gauri & Nainika

Now, now who is back with a bang? This dress surely flatters the lovely lady and her peaches & cream complexion.

Karishma Kapoor in Anamika Khanna Coutre

As the mother of 2 looks fresh and stunning in this classy outfit, just wished the clutch could have been something in monochrome.

Nimrat Kaur in Snehla Khan

Do we love it? Oh yes, oh yes....Have we seen it before? Oh yes, oh yes. Another known Fashionista and daughter of a reputed actor has worn something exactly similar in a recent event. Any difference? Not that I can think of.

Kalki Koechlin in Sabyasachi

Ok, dont assume anything. This is not a gossip column, or anything about men's fashion.( Excuse me for my ignorance, I am not even sure who this guy is, someone help me out please). Now coming to the point, I like this outfit on her very slim body.

Neha Dhupia in Payal Singhal & Anju Modi

We like the overall look...where lies the problem then? Okay are those buttons or frills on her blouse. Could that be avoided?

 Prachi Desai in Swapnil Shine

The girl next door looks cute in her peachy attire.

Shruti Hassan in Gauri & Nainika

The light-eyed beauty looked bold & beautiful. We have a problem with the earrings

Soha Ali Khan in Ken Ferns

The Royal beauty looks stylish in her cream ensemble with her beau. We like the ruby earrings.

Sophie Chaudhary in BCBG

This lady never fails to impress us on her Red Carpet outings. Love the Rose pink and emerald combination.

Tamannah Bhatia in Gauri Nainika

Someone tried to match her outfit with the Red Carpet. Are we complaining? Not really.

Aditi Rao Hydari in Gaurav Gupta

Bling & Sheer...this year Gaurav Gupta seemed to have been obsessed by both. I love the updo and the tiara but the latter could have been avoided with this already blingy outfit.

Amrita Rao in Payal Singhal

This petite lady chose to go traditional for the evening. While we love the saree, the rest of the look could have been improved.

Anjana Sukhani

Frilly frilly frocky frocky!! We're been picky picky & you're being tacky tacky.

Divya Kumar Khosla

Very innovative way of carrying the dupatta. No doubt she look good.

Bruna Abdullah

Yes, No, Maybe!!

Dia Mirza in Shantanu & Nikhil

We like the very 80's style, the combination of black and gold is classic. However, the always fresh looking beauty does appear tired with the unkempt hair.

Elli Avram

White & nice!!

Huma Qureshi in Gauri & nainika

The new curvy dahling of Hindi movies could have selected a better ensemble that would have done justice to her full body.

Ileana D' Cruz in Emilio Pucci

Am I being too picky, or is the outfit puff-sleeved ?

Richa Chadda in Herve Leger

That frilly flaming red and those black shoes...oh no pretty lady you could have done way better.
