Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Daily Tinted Moisturizer Review

I avoid using foundations, powders etc on a daily basis. I strongly rely on BB Creams and sometimes Tinted Moisturizers. I have used some tinted moisturizers before from L'Oreal, Dior and Chanel. Recently after reading rave reviews, I got my hands on the Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Daily Tinted Moisturizer.

Pricing: Rs. 475

Packaging: The Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Daily Tinted Moisturizer comes in a golden cardboard box that makes it look very elegant. Inside the container is actually a glass one and you can see the product from outside. There is a golden cap and a pump dispenser.

Product: NUTRAGLOW is a light weight tinted MOISTURIZER which contains a hint of skin perfecting color that helps in hiding any appearance of imperfections on your skin.
  • Perfect moisturizer as per the skin tone.
  • Blends easily to hide imperfections
  • Day or night, winter or summer, this innovative moisturizer can be applied as a base before applying make-up in the morning and also in the evening after removing make-up.
  • SPF-25 formula protects against the harmful UV rays.
  • Enriched with powerful active ingredients that include extracts of Aloe Vera, calendula and hibiscus.
  • Gives a flawless finish.

My Experience: I love the design of the box and the container. I wish it was not glass. However, all good products are available in glass containers :-(. I was looking for a perfect shade for my complexion. The SA at Big Bazaar counter did not know anything. There were no testers and I was so desperate to buy, I got the only shade available there- Fresh Ivory. The other 2 shades were Bright Angel and Hazelnut Star. I was sure Hazelnut Star wouldn't have suited my complexion but I wanted to check out the Bright Angel. Anyway, when I tried back at home I thought the shade was ok on my skin colour.

The texture is a bit thick but becomes quite watery while spreading. It takes quite some time to settle and get blended. I dont like the smell. It does not make the skin greasy and neither impart any extra glow or anything. Maybe a bit of enhancement to your complexion. It is very sheer on the skin and does not cover any blemishes or spots. So the claim of hiding imperfections is not applicable. The positive trait is that it has a SPF 25 and you do not need any extra sunscreen top top it. When I used it for yesterday's LOTD, I had to use a concealer to hide spots and dark circles. But it stayed as it is for almost 4 hours after that. I dont know how it will work on summers.

1. Contains SPF 25
2. Calendula & Aloe Vera Extracts
3. Does not feel greasy on skin
4. Decent Staying Power
5. Elegant Packaging
6. No Breakouts

1. Smell is not very appealing
2. Some may find it high priced
3. Very sheer coverage
4. Cannot hide dark spots or circles
5. Takes time to get blended
6. Not travel friendly due to glass bottle
7. I dont find any glow

Rating: 3.25/5

I had used it for yesterday's LOTD here

Overall Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Daily Tinted Moisturizer is an average product, nothing exceptional to write about. I would any day choose L'Oreal Tinted Moisturizer over it. Some beauties can find it good though, but I will not repurchase it.
