Peaches & Cream with a Pinch of Lime (Entry 3) for Jabong at LFW

Lakme Fashion Week, a 4 day festival of fashion, that every fashion enthusiast look forward to. This time Jabong.com, the co-sponsor of the show has come up with the awesome Create The Look Contest where any blogger can actually come up with their ideas to create ramp-worthy looks.

This is my 3rd entry for the contest

I wanted a very classic and elegant look so I have chosen this lace dress in white. I have incorporated Pastel and Gold for accessories. The sudden boost of hues, like the Lime Green watch and the Peach shoes gives a subtle yet cute youthfulness to the all classy look. The hair accessory, the ring and the clutch are kept in hues of Croc-Gold & Rose Gold, again adding to the elegance.

This look calls for a flawless face along with nude nails and beautiful pinkish berry matte lips.

This classic look with a zesty twist can be called as "Peaches & Cream with a Pinch of Lime" Check out Jabong.com for all the products used to create the look.

What do you think of the look? Let me know.

This is my 2nd entry for the Create the Look Contest, organized by Jabong.com for the upcoming LFW

Me & My Hair #DovePlay

Not dark as the night, not deep as the sea, nor it is soft as silk, but it is mine. I may not find time to take care of it, I may not give it enough grooming, but still it is mine. When I see others with curly, wavy and poker straight ones, shiny, lovely and always lively, I say to myself I wish I had too. When I see others colouring it, styling it or tying it, I wish I could too.

But it suffers from breakage and fall, so I am scared to experiment with it. Still sometimes, I wish if I could. Then again I think, how bad it may be for it.

I wish I could also make it look better, thicker and livelier. I wish I could also style it and colour it the way others do.

#DovePlay now boosts confidence in women like me to play around and experiment in different ways with the hair. I would definitely want to be able to play around with it now, my hair.

Fiery Psychedelic( Entry 2) for Jabong at LFW

As one of the most sought after hubs of fashion, the Lakme Fashion Week is round the corner, Jabong.Com has come up with Create the Look Contest where all creative fashion lovers can impart their ideas on the ramp.
This is my second entry for the contest.

The look I created depicts a Boho Chick who is funky and sexy and does not shy away to experiment. A psychedelic printed leggings is paired with a flaming red vest, topping up with a tangy orange cape. The burst of colour is muted with monochrome accessorize, where silver & black play around.

Since the concept is creating a bold look, there are lot of colours in the makeup. A blue eye liner and nice shimmery cheeks paired with deep plum pouts make the look super cool.

The bold avatar can be well named as "Fiery Psychedelic". Check out Jabong.com for all the products used to create the look.

What do you think of the look? Let me know.

Radiant Orchid with a Bolt of Blue:(Entry1) for Jabong at LFW

The much awaited carnival of fashion, Lakme Fashion Week is just a few weeks away, and all of us, fashion & style enthusiasts are gearing up to get a glimpse of the event.  Jabong.com, one of the leading online shopping websites in India is the co-sponsor of this mega event  and will be giving a one-of-a kind opportunity for bloggers like us to showcase our creative talent by holding Create the Look Contest. Here is my 1st entry for the contest, and what can be better than the colour of the year Radiant Orchid as a theme?

The look I chose is a very girly & pretty look as the hue Radiant Orchid brings the image of a sweet girl. The casual look is appropriate for a day out with friends, or a lazy afternoon brunch near the pool. The subtlety of the printed lilac dress can be perked up with a touch of a bright blue handbag and a pair of blue-nude heels. The colourful earrings help to accentuate the look by mellowing down the almost monochrome palette. A pair of lilac & silver bracelets adds to the girly and flirty touch of the look.

As the focus of the look is daywear, I decided to keep the makeup simple, with focus on glossy bubble-gum pink lips and fluttering lashes with lovely glowing cheeks- very apt for a brunch look. A flawless face should be the base for nice and sexy makeup. So, I decided to use these products:

The look can be described as "Radiant Orchid with a Bolt of Blue". Check out Jabong.com for all the products shown.

What do you think of the look? Let me know.

This is my 1st entry for the Create the Look Contest, organized by Jabong.com for the upcoming LFW.

Lakme Eyeconic White Review, Swatches & 3 Ways to Use

Hi my beauties, after a long time I am reviewing a product, and today under my scanner is the very trending Lakme Eyeconic White. All of you must have read a lot of rave reviews about the product. Today I will giving a general review along with 3 ways the product can be used.

Lakme Eyeconic White is a white Kohl and one of the 5 new shades that the brand has come up with.

Price: Rs250/

Packaging: Like any other contemporary Kohl/Kajal Lakme Eyeconic White comes in a nice cardboard packaging. The pencil has white body with a twist mouth and turquoise lettering.

The Product: Lakme Eyeconic White is a white Kohl pencil which promises a 10 hr long no smudge coverage with a waterproof  formula. What Lakme says about it:

Reinvent your everyday look with the all new Lakmé Eyeconic White. With a deep colored stroke in an easy twist up format, it gives your eyes a long-lasting, Eyeconic look throughout the day.Smudge proof, water proof and dermatologically tested; Lakmé’s Eyeconic White accentuates your eyes and makes them look bigger and brighter.

My Take:The Lakme Eyeconic White is a milky white Kohl that can surely become a makeup enthusiast's best friend. It can create real iconic eye makeup. The application is smooth and and smudge-free. The packaging is very travel friendly and you can carry it around inside your purse and can use it anytime you want to. The product is waterproof and so very useful for contact lens wearers like me. The staying power is quite decent and it stays for 5-6 hours straight, although 10 hrs stay is a long claim. The texture of the product is very soft and it glides on your lids like a cream.

The kohl is very pigmented and a single swipe is enough to give a very nice shade.

To top up, it can create lovely looks as it is a contrast to darker shades like black.

Apart from the usual way, white liner can be used in multiple ways too. Here are 3 ways I have tried out the product:

  • Eyeshadow Base: I have very oily lids and find it very difficult to apply shadow as most bright colours hardly show on the lids. I had used this product as an eye shadow base and got really wonderful results.
  • Highlighter: I have used the Lakme Eyeconic White as a highlighter and applied on the inner corners of my eyes and on the brow bone area.
  • Eye Brightener: As white is an eye brightener, the Lakme Eyeconic White can be used to brighten your eyes for a perky look.

And here is the finished look:

Pros:
1. Smudge-proof
2. Waterproof
3. 5-6 hrs stay power
4. Not irritating for eyes/skin
5. Smooth Application
6. Travel-friendly
7. Mutipurpose
8. Nice pigmentation

Cons:
1. Does not stay for 10 hours as claimed

Rating: 4.75/5

The Lakme Eyeconic White is a one of a kind product and can create magic with proper application, a superb kohl that can be used in a multiple to create unique looks without much effort.

Blind Test of Love Long Hair Care Range

Monday as soon as I returned home in the evening, I found a pretty big package waiting for me. I was a little surprised as I have not ordered anything. When I opened the envelope & bubble wrapper, what I found out was equally astonishing.

In front of me was a lovely white box with artistic image of a lady with long black tresses- a unique combination of white, black and green. Written on the box are 3 words-" Love Long Hair". I got an idea that it must be something for the hair, so I was wandering what the product is and what is the brand?

So I opened the box and what I saw was more startling...

Well, well, shampoos & conditioners seem to be showering on me from the sky this month. Jokes apart, I was really taken aback to find a pair of this hair care twins. Placed beautifully inside the box was a shampoo & a conditioner. And to top my excitement there was no brand mentioned anywhere on the products as well. Instead  they love to call themselves Love Long Hair. A Blind Test!! Huh!!

I am very very excited to try out this Love Long Hair range of hair care. I am sure I will be using it today. Definitely I will be updating you guys about how it performs on my hair. So, what message this brand has given?

Wow, I can't wait to use both the shampoo that promises to make my hair strong & shiny & a  conditioner that will detangle my hair. This Love Long Hair brand will make me love my long hair, which I had wished for so many years. How good can it get?

An't you guys eager to know more about it? I will let you know about it within a few days of use :-) Meanwhile stay tuned.
