Just as any part of our body, our skin also requires proper maintenance and nutrition. The teenage and 20s are the best time for our skin. The only problem we generally face during these years are from acne and breakouts. However, things change once we hit our late 20s. Different problems like dark spots, enlarged pores and few lines here and there tend to show up. This is a natural phenomenon and we cannot stop it. However, we can obviously prevent premature aging and stop our skin from getting wrinkled and dried.
Aid with Antioxidants
Too much oily and junk food can be harmful for your health. If you are healthy from inside, it will show from outside as well. Consuming food rich in vitamins and antioxidants is very necessary. Tomatoes, lemon, grapeseed etc are powerhouse of antioxidants and therefore are very good for the skin.
Water, Water Everywhere
Never say no to water. Our body requires high amount of water so try to drink at least 8 glasses a day. Water flush out toxins from your body. So consumption of water in adequate quantity is very necessary for your skin’s improvement as well.
Keep Safe from Sun:
Sun causes maximum skin damage to the skin. It is best to avoid extreme sun exposure and if possible to be outdoors during the pick hours from 12 noon to 3 pm. However, in today’s world it is quite impossible to maintain this, so it is better to use a very good sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
Generally aging starts to show with few lines around the eye area. So, it is a must to be careful to protect that part of the skin as it is very sensitive and tender. Invest in a good eye cream with Retinol that can reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles from your skin.
No matter whatever you eat and how much healthy your lifestyle is, wrinkles and fine lines on your face are going to be evident once you ride up the age meter. So taking care of your skin and using products specially designed to combat signs of aging are a must. Try to form a skin care routine by including a day cream and a night cream that actually can ward off wrinkles effectively.
These are some simple ways to slower the aging process of our skin. Maintaining these steps can definitely make you age gracefully.
