My love for BB Cream has extended to a new height nowadays and I am on a spree for trying out new ones every time. This time I have grabbed the Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector and today going to talk about it.
What Revlon Says about the Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector: A lightweight, multi-benefit Beauty Balm that combines skincare, makeup, and sunscreen into one step.
- HYDRATES like moisturizer
- SMOOTHES like primer
- COVERS like foundation
- BLURS FLAWS like concealer
- PROTECTS with SPF 30 like sunscreen
Price: Rs.550 for 30ml
Packaging: The packaging of the Revlon Photoready Skin Perfector is quite sleek with a metallic silver body and a black twisted cap. The lightweight packaging makes it quite travel-friendly.
My Experience with Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector: The BB Cream is available in 3 shades, Light, Light/Medium & Medium. I chose the Light/Medium one, but did I select the right one? We will find out soon.
I have combination-oily skin and I prefer products that can control shine and provide a matte effect. However, the Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector does little justice to my skin. First of all, it gives a very sheer coverage, almost nil. Secondly, the shade Light/Medium seemed a bit darker for my skin tone. It did not cover any dark spot on my face, nor did it perfect my skin. I found it made my face look quite shiny and dull. Within an hour or so it started melting and appeared as greasy as a frying pan. This is not expected from a moderately high-priced product. Now is it all that bad?
The good news is there are certain traits in the Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector. First, you require a tiny amount of the product to work on. Another good point is, it really blends with ease on the skin. I could not see any white or grey cast. The third and most important factor for me is that it contains SPF 30. A girl needs her sunscreen and what can be better if a BB Cream has ample of it. But as said, the product did almost nothing to enhance my complexion.
It did not break me out or cause any kind of irritation or sensitivity, so I assume it is safe to use.
This BB Cream can be beneficial for beauties with dry skin as it can give a dewy finish. However, it will not help to enhance the complexion in anyway. But women with blemish-prone or pigmented skin will hardly get any help with it.
If you have combination-oily skin like me and still would want to give the Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector a try, I would suggest a good puff of your setting powder post-application.
1. Contains SPF 30
2. Hydrates Skin
3. Blends easily
4. Does not leave a white/grey cast
5. Suitable for dry skin
1. Less staying power
2. Makes face shiny
3. Shade is darker
4. Very sheer coverage
5. Does not hide imperfection
The Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector is a very average product, with little or no effect on skin. Unless you have dry and spotless complexion, I would not recommend it to anybody.
