Label Ritu Kumar launches its Autumn Winter collection for the year 2014. Catering to the contemporary women of today, the AW'14 range comprises of varied day and evening styles from wrap dresses, maxis, shifts, skirts, jumpsuits and trendy trouser style suits and jackets. The line comes in vibrant colors both from the traditional vegetable repertoire we well as solid and jeweled tones. It uses seasonal fabrics like jersey, crepe and georgettes and few designs draw inspiration from traditional prints of Rajasthan and Gujarat origins.
A key part of the Fall Winter range has been designed by Samy Chalon, noted French designer who has been part of the Label team since last season. Samy started as a junior designer for YVES SAINT LAURENT and CHLOE and then freelanced for brands such as KENZO and CELINE before launching his own label in 1999. He owns a boutique in the "Marais" district of Paris in 2005 and has a devoted clientele in the city.
The highlight of the collection is the first ever introduction of the tuxedo range perfectly suited for power dressing in corporate corridors. This range designed by Samy has been created keeping in mind the latest global trends that work well with the Indian consumer's needs and aesthetics.
