Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum Review

I am very particular about my skin and try to take care of it as much as possible. I love to use serums on my skin as they are the most concentrated form of skin care product you get. Today I will be reviewing a serum that I have started using recently and it is the Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum.

About Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum

A dramatically effective treatment serum to immediately give skin exceptional radiance and a refreshed look. Developed with Shiseido-exclusive Luminizing Microcapsules that instantly infuse skin with a burst of light to de-emphasize dullness, enlarged pores, fine lines and other premature signs of aging. Feels light and silky-fresh as it promotes a healthy-looking glow.

Price: Rs. 3500/-(approx) for 50 ml

Packaging: Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum comes in a pinkish white coloured glass bottle.

Product: The product is a pink tinted lotion with a very soft and creamy texture.

My Experience: Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum is meant for anti-dullness mainly. I love to use this product during the day after cleansing and toning my face. The prominent feature about the product is its easy to use pump that allows a very tiny amount of product just enough for your face. I love the very mild fragrance, which is quite common to most of  Shiseido's products. The lotion smooths very easily on the skin and gets absorbed very quickly. The skin feels light and illuminated instantly. Truly, it makes the skin look so bright you really do not need anything more to put one, if you are blessed with fairly well-behaved skin. The skin appears quite refined and clean and feels pretty velvety.

I have applied the serum after cleansing and toning with just a dash of pink lipstick

These were some of the good aspects of Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum. Now the not-so-good aspects are its packaging which is too heavy to carry while travelling. Then there is the fact that it does not provide a permanent solution to your pores and dullness. It is like a flash radiance activator, which makes it a good base for makeup. In short I can summarize it as a good instant brightener.

1. Light texture
2. Illuminates skin instantly
3. Gives a refined effect
4. Gets absorbed quickly
5. Acts as a good makeup base
6. Makes skin smooth & velvety
7. A very small amount is required
8. Nice fragrance

1. Not travel friendly
2. Cannot really get rid of dullness permanently
3. Not very effective on spots
4. Very expensive

Rating: 3.9/5

Shiseido The Skincare Visible Luminizer Serum is a fairly decent instant brightening agent which can sum up to be a fairly good primer for makeup too, but if you are looking for a serum that gives permanent solution for dullness and spots, you may not like it. As already said, if you have a somewhat flawless skin it can give you a look where you do not really require makeup.
