My Experience at the Four Fountains De-Stress Spa, Mumbai

It is very difficult to get a complete me-time nowadays, and what can be better than a spa session to get a perfect me-time? So, when I was invited to try a Spa Session at the Four Fountains De-Stress Spa in Mumbai, I was really excited.

Presently there are 4 branches of Four Fountains De-Stress Spa at Mumbai-

1. Powai 

2. Bandra(West) 

3. Malad(West)

4.Goregaon (East)

I went to the Powai branch  as it is the nearest from my place. As soon as I entered I was greeted warmly by the 2 ladies at the reception.There were no doctors available at that time but I was given a form to fill up. As I entered all my details, they asked me to choose from the innumerable options they had. 

The spa therapies at  Four Fountains De-Stress Spa can be broadly divided into . 

1.Therapies for De-stressing

2. Therapies for De-toxification

3. Therapies for Immunity

4. Therapies for Beauty

As I am a skin care freak, I chose the Sea-Weed Body Wrap under Therapies for Beauty.

I was taken into a well-equipped room by my attendant and was provided with disposable garments. My attendant was very sincere and friendly and took utmost care to make me feel comfortable. I was glad to see arrangements of specific lockers for keeping bags, drawers for keeping mobile,wallets etc and hangers to keep the clothes. The room had a large full-view mirror and an adjacent shower. When I was ready I called the attendant and she started with the therapy. 

The first step of the Seaweed Body Wrap at Four Fountains De-Stress Spa is the Coffee & Cane Sugar Body Polish. The dim light of the lamps and the pleasant music created a relaxing atmosphere.During this time, my attendant made sure that she had covered the areas that she was not scrubbing, carefully with a sheet. During the 25 minutes session she made sure to ask me now and then if the pressure level was alright. I enjoyed the session and after that I had to take a shower to rinse off the polish. 

I was provided fresh garments and after my shower, the second session was started. This was the Sea Weed Wrap where I was asked to lie on a plastic wrap and  the seaweed pack was applied all over my body. After a generous application of the pack, the plastic sheet was wrapped around my body. My attendant covered me up with a sheet so that I do not feel cold. It was a 25 minutes session and I was so relaxed and at peace, I almost dozed off. After 25 minutes the attendant came and I was again asked to take a shower. I was provided with a body lotion and applied it generously.

I was attended by the doctor once I went to the reception area. She recommended me a De-stress session for my moderate stress after a few days. I wanted to take picture of the reception area and asked her permission. She pointed me towards a person, supposedly the manager, who was busy talking on the phone. I was provided  fresh green tea. However, I sat there for 10 long minutes and that person was still busy. As time is very precious to me, I walked off quietly with only the pictures of the room where I was given the session, which I had taken before.

I liked the Seaweed Body Wrap at  Four Fountains De-Stress Spa, Powai. The service was quite good. The only hitch was the 10 long minutes that I had to wait  just for taking permission to take pictures of the reception, which ultimately I could not.

Four Fountains De-Stress Spa, Powai is a nice place, specially for all who would like to get a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The masseur/attendants are well-trained and very warm in their behaviour. I wish I could say the same for the management as well.
