5 Trends I am going to follow this Festive Season

As you must be knowing by now I am a Bengali and Durga Puja is our biggest festival. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to my hometown, Kolkata this time. Someone who has seen the festival there knows what I am going to miss. However, In Mumbai too we have places to look for and I am going to enjoy the 4 days here this time. However, here are some trends that I am definitely going to follow and shop accordingly in the coming weeks.

1. Trend#1
Kareena Kapoor's Flowing Skirt from Singham Returns

People who know me closely knows how I hate watching movies, but ultimately I ended up watching Singham Returns and I won't lie I liked the movie for few reasons and one has to be Kareena's flowing skirts from the song Kuch to Hua Hai. I loved the long skirts in prints and patterns, specially the blue one with floral patterns at the border. The way it was paired with quarter sleeved shirts was also quite attractive.

2. Trend#2
White & Red Combination

Any puja in Bengal is incomplete without the white & red saree. Well I have loads of these "Gorod" silks and this year I want something different with the combination and I am looking for a Anarkali in Red-White Combination.

3. Trend#3
Orchid Smokey Eyes

I am done with dark black smoky eyes. Don't get me wrong, I know its a classic trend and will never go out of fashion, but I want to explore and Orchid being the colour of the year will be a great option for the festivals.

4. Trend#4
Bright Solids

If you have read my Emmy Red Carpet Fashion Post, you must have known what I am talking about. I would love a dress in any bright hue without any prints or detailing. The cut is all that matters.Lets see where I can go shopping for this.

5. Trend#5
Garnet Lips

Okay, so I am not a fan of dark lipsticks. Browns and maroons have never done the rounds in my vanity. But the garnet colour seems to be rocking this time around. I would definitely give it a try and obviously settle for an affordable brand.

So, what do you think of my Trend choices? Any suggestions of where can I get these things would be so helpful, specially the Kareena Kapoor skirt and affordable Garnet lipstick.
