I am so happy that the cold weather has set, as it is time for me to do lots of colourful eye makeup. Generally during summers I do not really indulge in applying a lot of shadows as I am always scared of melting and smudging. But now, no worries at all. Incidentally I received the Blue Heaven Cosmetics Eye Magic Instant Eye Shadow for review a few days back.
About Blue Heaven Cosmetics Eye Magic Instant Eye Shadow:
Packaging: Blue Heaven Cosmetics Eye Magic Instant Eye Shadow comes in a black & blue outside cardboard packaging with a view-hole at the front to see the shades without opening the package. The compact is secure inside a second layer of transparent plastic cover. The shadows come in a round compact with a black base and transparent cover, from where you can see the shades. The shades are protected by a thin plastic film. There is an applicator inside.
Product: The eye shadow palette number 602 is a mix of 2 intense and bright shades and 2 highlighting golden shades. All the four shades are shimmery. They smell like talcum powder.
My Experience: When I received the Blue Heaven Cosmetics Eye Magic Instant Eye Shadow in shade 602, I was extremely happy as, I love golden shadows. I think golden shades when mixed with other hues can bring out the best eye makeup looks. Even a slight hint at the inner corners of the eyes can instantly add charm to the look. This palette has 2 shades of gold which was a bonus for me. The packaging is pretty good. I did not expect such sturdy packaging in this price. The applicator is not that great though, however I never use applicators provided inside eye shadow palettes. The shades are quite powdery in texture. And actually there is a lot of fall out, particularly in some shades. The intensity of the shades are fairly decent. You need to work on it a bit to make it appear on the lids. But with primer it works well. It takes a bit time to get blended as the texture is very powdery. The staying power is decent. The shades stay for an average 3 hours without primer. It may crease a bit, so definitely I would recommend using a primer. The colours are very rich and i love the fact that they are not very shimmery, but has very tiny and shimmer particles which does not look very strong. So the Blue Heaven Cosmetics Eye Magic Instant Eye Shadow in 602 is useful for versatile looks, both glamorous and regular.
The Shades: There are 4 shades in the Blue Heaven Cosmetics Eye Magic Instant Eye Shadow in 602.
Mauve: This shade is rich and suitable for all complexions. It is a pearlescent shade and is ideal for vibrant looks.
Golden Copper: This shade appears to be more orange in the pan but actually when applied it is a golden copper shade, more towards the golden side. It will work well as a base colour as well as a highlighting colour for skin tones with pinkish under tones.
Golden Yellow: This shade is my favourite for the colour. It works perfect as a highlighter for me as I have strong yellow undertones. However this shade has the maximum fall out issue.
Indigo: I have electric blue, I have navy blue, I have Royal Blue but this is the only Indigo shade that I have now. This shade is almost a matte with very subtle hint of shimmer, which is almost negligible. Somehow I feel, this kind of blue looks better on fair to medium complexion with pinkish undertones.
