Bombay Barbeque Weekend Buffet Review

With my little one becoming naughtier and difficult, with the passing days, nowadays, we hardly get time to visit a nice restaurant for a good family time. So, when I got a chance to visit Bombay Barbeque at Andheri, I immediately decided to go there for our Sunday Lunch.

Bombay Barbeque has 3 chains across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Their specialty is their wide spread buffet, that consists of Indian, Tandoor, South East Asian food and Continental.

We were greeted cordially by the staff there. The decor of the place is quite attractive. It is quite spacious with the family dining section at one side and the bar section on another.

The bar was quite well equipped and I am sure would be of much interest for those who drink.

I liked how they have separate spreads for vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections. The choices are also quite varied. Starting from Thukpa to Biriyani they had it all.

There are 3 live cooking counters, one for pastas, one for noodles and rice and another for sweets.

Each table has enough space to accommodate a big group or family and on each table a place is created for a live grill on charcoal.

Now coming to the food and service, we were greeted well with welcome drinks. We selected a lychee and a strawberry mocktail. The starters consisted of pani puris and sev puri. The tandoor grill had some tikka kebabs, fish kebabs and prawn tandoors. The fish kebab was very juicy and tasty. The other chicken kebabs were good too.

The main course i.e., the buffet had a wide selection. The biriyani was cooked perfectly but a little more salt would have been better. I liked the corn and mushroom masala too.

The tastiest was the food from the live counters. Both the pasta and noodles were very tasty and made to perfection.

The dessert section was another amazing place to take a look. With a lot of varieties in both Indian sweets and different pastries and icecreams, it could not have been better.

Overall, Bombay Barbeque exceeded my expectation. No matter if you are with your partner or your family, it is a great place to have a quality time and real good food.

I strongly suggest trying the live counters when you are there.
