Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Monsoon or rainy seasons are a much-awaited time, after the hot summers. It brings relief and perks up the mood. However, there are various phases of the monsoon. While the advent of monsoon can be very bright, cheerful, and romantic, constant rain can bring gloominess and dullness in our mood after some days.  Do you know fragrances or perfumes are a perfect mood lifter? Then why not invest in some good scents for the monsoons?

Top 5 Ways to pick Fragrances for Monsoon

1. Check if it can fight body odour: Monsoon is a time where we are most likely to get the unpleasant phenomena of body odour. Due to the excess humidity, there can be excessive sweating. Also, the increased growth of bacteria may give rise to foul body smell. We need to pick up fragrances that have zesty notes that can combat body odour. Certain aromas are formulated specially to fight body odour.

2. Mood Uplifting Notes: As already discussed, continuous rain can bring excessive boredom and a feeling of melancholia. A subtle touch of warmth with freshness can get that quick mood perk. Oriental notes are very comforting for these times. It gives a pleasant feeling of warmth and much-needed cosiness.

3. Higher Concentration of Perfume: This is something we often overlook. Do you know, the higher the concentration of actual perfume, the higher is its price. A higher concentration of perfume essence can be found in Eau de Parfums, followed by Eau de toilettes and the least in Deodorants. That is why the price also differs. Perfumes with 15% or more concentration of essence are the ones that are likely to stay for a long time, spreading a more prominent fragrance.

4. Fresh notes work best: Zesty, floral, light spicy are the new form of notes, and these are the ones that go perfectly with the rainy seasons. We need to pick up something that has the power to brighten up or cheer up the gloominess around.

5. Experiment with Oil Perfumes: Oil-based perfumes do not evaporate fast, unlike Alcohol-based ones. Just for the monsoons, we can get a lovely oil-based scent that will stick to the skin, staying for a longer time.

Top 5 Fragrances for Monsoon:

Miniso White Ginger: There is a sweet warmth to this fragrance. The initial notes are sweet and cozy, giving you the much needed warmth. The heart has the floral rosy sweetness that is very tender on the olfactory senses. The base is more musky, without the sharpness.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea: Think open green meadows, think this fragrance. The first fragrance that hits the chord is that of a lemony zest, a citrus aroma. The heart is more of a beautiful punch of floral and light spicy notes along with the a pleasant but remarkable cloud of fresh green tea. The base is a bit musky and woody. On the whole a Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray is a wonderful fragrance oozing with freshness and earthiness.

Franck Olivier Bamboo: It is a clean green fragrance with a mild freshness and sophisticated aura to it. At the first spray the perfume opens up with a unique alchemy of violet and ivy leaves along with black currant. The floral heart consists of lily and ylang ylang with a hint of rose. The woody base is dominant with vetiver and cedar.

Chambor Tender Tuberose: It is a perfect blend of floral notes with a fresh breezy undertone. The opening notes are a beautiful garden fresh tuberose burst. It mellows into a milder breezy tone in the centre, while the base is a very subtle flowery touch of the tuberose.

Burberry Weekend: It is a splendid mixture of high spirited and energetic smells, strewn into a single scent. When you spray it, you get a very unusual blend of a sweet-bitter note, somewhat zesty yet somewhat woody. Slowly it turns to a floral burst, with a bit of rosy and peachy accent. The base is more of a musky one.
